Apeco was founded in 1924, in Port Elizabeth, by Alfred Pearson. In 1972 the office was moved from Port Elizabeth to Pinetown, Durban, in order to be closer to the center of the shoe manufacturing industry.
Today Apeco is one of the major suppliers to the footwear and associated industries in South Africa. Branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth provide comprehensive coverage to these industries.
The range of products offered are either on an ex-stock basis, or a direct contract basis depending on the customers’ specific requirements. Apeco offers a comprehensive range of products to the local market from its various warehouses as well as exporting to sub Saharan Africa.
